1) Font. The font which we decided to utilise was, we felt, very much in keeping with the overall atmosphere, mood and tone of the overall piece, and in keeping with the sort of dark, grungy ambience we were trying to create. The titles are presented in white with a red tint. This, also, we felt was not only very much in keeping with the atmosphere and tone of the piece, but it also established continuity, conforming to a motif which is recurrent throughout the film (i.e., heavy uses of red, black, etc).
2) Title. The title of our film is "Time Out of Mind." There are three reasons as to why this is. #1) We felt that this title was original and distinctive, but at the same time odd and strange. We were trying to create a film which went against stereotypical rules and conventions of the crime thriller genre, and we felt that this title was an extra added touch in our creation of a film which not only wanted to subvert the rules and conventions of the crime thriller genre, but also to completely shatter them, as well. #2) A large part of the story line revolves around time. The latter half of the film involves the main male character, Jerry, racing against time to find his daughter and save her from the evil clutches of her captor, Izabella. #3) From the film's initial inception, we originally intended to open and close the film with a brief shot of a wristwatch, which would have been utilised in order to convey the passing of time, and it (time) is a very special, very sacred thing to these characters, who must race against it in order to live and fight another day.

3) Running order of credits. The order of the credits are as follows: Director, Leading Actresses, Leading Actors, Editors, Producers, Writer and Director. There are a number of reasons as to why we decided to put the credits in this particular order. The first is that, we feel, this order conforms to rules and conventions of film in general. We are following a very set, very traditional set of guidelines, guidelines which we would like to, out of a desire for strict professionalism, adhere to and not subvert or alter or change simply for the sake of it. The second is that, as is stated, the Leading Actresses are placed before the Leading Actors. This was done because not only do the female characters have more screen time than the male characters, but also that, since this is a film about female empowerment and about the subversion of the stereotypical role of women in crime thrillers, it seemed fitting to put the Leading Actresses first.
